Engineered Mesh Upper

This new generation of the iconic Gel-Kayano utilises a redesigned, engineered mesh upper for improved breathability and a comfortable experience. A lightweight design with strategic perforations provides your feet with exceptional in-shoe comfort, by allowing a constant supply of fresh air to travel through the upper. The cool air travels freely through the structure to stop the risks of overheating, whilst moisture-wicking properties keep feet dry from sweat and moisture, particularly when you're under pressure. Updated from their predecessors, the materials deliver a more adaptive, secure and a lighter overall construction, so that runners run more efficiently. A seamless design prevents irritation or chafing from distracting your runs, whilst a lightweight, tongue and stretchy collar keep you secure. A traditional lace-up system locks down the midfoot, preventing in-shoe slipping during movement. Finally, reflective elements enhance visibility during low light conditions.

FF Blast Max and FF Blast Plus Midsole

A dual-layer construction features through the midsole of the Gel-Kayano 33s. The top layer of foam utilises a super-soft FF Blast Max for outstanding, responsive comfort. This is one of ASICS' most energetic midsole foams, providing you with cloud-like softness and a super responsive energy during each step. This compound delivers a soft, bouncy stride and keeps the midsole light in weight. Below this, the FF Blast Plus works with the midsole to help cradle the foot and enhances stability. The compound absorbs shocks when striking down on to road running surfaces, in turn reducing the risks of injury or discomfort during tough miles. Working together, the midsole foams create a balanced ride that feels plush, supportive and comfortable. Now even softer than their predecessors, the shoes utilise an updated Rearfoot GEL technology. This helps to deliver enhanced shock absorption and promotes smooth transition, to reduce injuries and keep you comfortable, stride after stride. At the core of this evolution, FLUIDSUPPORT technology, is a new support system that has been developed using extensive testing and research. The compound works in harmony with your body's movement, adapting to the runner's changing biomechanical needs throughout each step. Providing comfort and guidance during critical periods of your gait cycle, the compound allows natural foot movement to ensure smooth, efficient running transitions. HYBRID ASICSGRIP Outsole

Combining ASICSGRIP and AHARPLUS compounds in key areas, the outsole of the Gel-Kayano 33 deliver excellent grip and durability. The compound provides reliable traction, whilst still ensuring comfort and stability. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber compound is strategically placed in high-wear areas to improve durability and reduce excessive wear over time. Designed to offer dependable grip across a variety of surfaces, the outsole features strategically positioned lugs to further enhance traction and help prevent slipping or loss of control. Flex grooves promote natural foot flexion for smoother, unrestricted movement, while working alongside the rubber compound to provide secure underfoot traction when running.
