Mizuno Wave Daichi 8 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

A shoe to match the adventurous spirit of the trail runner, the Wave Daichi 8 GORE-TEX trail running shoes feature Mizuno Wave, a U4icX foam for increased comfort and Vibram Megagrip rubber outsoles for unmatched grip out in the wild.

GORE-TEX Upper

Surrounding the upper of the shoes is a breathable and durable GORE-TEX membrane. This will work to block out all moisture, helping to keep your feet feeling dry and comfortable in any condition. The membrane will also allow an optimum level of airflow to be passed through the shoe, allowing feet to remain cool and comfortable. Synthetic overlays are added to the construction of the upper, allowing feet to remain protected from bumps and knocks when out on the trail. The shoes have a cushioned collar and tongue to prevent abrasion or chafing from occurring, as well as, preventing any unwanted dirt and debris from entering, keeping you comfortable on the trail from start to finish. Completing the upper is a traditional lace-up system, allowing the feet to remain locked in and secure whilst running.

U4icX Midsole

Providing an excellent level of cushioning and underfoot comfort, the shoes have a U4icX foam midsole which helps to ensure a soft landing and a strong take-off. Working alongside this, the shoes utilise Mizuno's Wave technology through the midsole for stability and a spring effect. This is embedded into the midsole to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from that is harnessed and is then transferred to the forefoot to then push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The Wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. Additionally, the shoes have a protection plate which helps you move comfortably across trail paths, whilst providing a buffer against rocks and debris without needing to add extra weight.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

The outsole of the Wave Daichi 8 is constructed from Vibram Megagrip rubber to deliver unprecedented traction and grip across all surfaces. Not only this, but the outsole is highly durable and enhances the longevity of the shoes, therefore providing you with a pair of shoes you can rely on throughout. Working in tandem with the outsole rubber, Mizuno have added their Traction lug construction which provides you with the support and traction needed on the trails. This concept encompasses deep lugs and grooves to help adapt and work in perfect harmony, getting the best possible results on unpredictable trails.
